The school holidays are the perfect time for children to take part in fun activities. For children whose mother tongue is not Dutch, this is also an opportunity to learn and practise the language during the holidays. With this in mind, ‘de Rand’ and De Horizon are organising entertaining and educational Dutch workshops. The well-rounded programme is an opportunity to enjoy a unique weeklong experience of the Dutch language. The monitors will encourage the children to speak Dutch while they play, even though these workshops are not supposed to be language courses.
Theme: Hotel Hallo
Hallo, is that the hotel reception desk? We have booked all the rooms. We are setting off on holiday with some young boys and girls. I have some further questions. Can we book the restaurant and the kitchen to cook in? Is there a large playroom? Is there a garden to play around and tables to tinker? We can hardly wait. Our suitcases are ready. Only a few more days and we will be there. See you soon!!

Children are expected at 8.45 a.m. Activities start at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
Staff is on hand to look after the children from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Meals
Give your child a packed lunch to bring along each day. At 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. the children get a drink and a cookie.
Also te bring along
A change of clothes and an apron.
